Warehouse Transfer History report
A record of every movement of goods between your warehouses — who moved what, where and when.
What is the Warehouse Transfer History report?
A record of every movement of goods between your warehouses: which items, what quantity, from where to where, and when.
Where to find it
Reports → Inventory Reports → Warehouse Transfer History, or /dashboard/reports/warehouse-transfer-history.
Permission: reports:warehouse_transfer_history.
What it shows
For each transfer: its number, date, source warehouse, destination warehouse, and the items and quantities.
When to open it
| Situation | Why |
|---|---|
| Goods missing from a warehouse | Check whether they were transferred elsewhere |
| Reviewing a movement between branches | Confirm what was sent is what arrived |
| Stocking the store warehouse | Confirm the transfer into the online warehouse happened |
| Monthly review | See how goods move internally |
Transfers post no accounting entry
An important idea: a transfer is not a financial event. The goods still belong to the same company at the same value — they have only moved.
Which is why transfers appear in no general ledger and no financial report. They appear here and in the stock ledger only.
Tip
If you run more than one warehouse, open it weekly. Mistaken transfers stay hidden until someone goes looking for goods they cannot find.
Frequently Asked Questions
When do I need it?
When you want to know where goods went, to review a movement between branches, or to confirm a transfer into your store warehouse actually happened.
Do transfers appear in the stock ledger too?
Yes, every transfer writes two stock ledger rows — an out and an in sharing the same transfer number. This report presents them as one comprehensible transfer.
Can I cancel a transfer from here?
No, the report is read-only. Transfers have no cancel anyway — if you made a mistake, create a reverse transfer.
