Warehouses: creating them and the default warehouse
Every balance in Pashkateb belongs to a warehouse. The default is the one invoices use when you do not pick another.
How do I create a warehouse in Pashkateb?
From Inventory → Warehouses, click Create New, enter a name and code, decide whether it is the default, and save.
Why warehouses matter
Pashkateb tracks stock per warehouse. An item has a balance in each warehouse, and its total stock is the sum across all of them.
That means every invoice, adjustment and transfer has to know which warehouse it is dealing with.
Where to find it
Inventory → Warehouses, or /dashboard/warehouses.
Permissions: warehouses:view to see it, warehouses:add to create, warehouses:edit to change.

The default warehouse
The default is what the system falls back to when you do not pick a warehouse on an invoice.
- Only one warehouse per company can be the default. Switching it on for a new one removes it from the old one automatically.
- Make your default the warehouse you work from most of the time — it cuts down mistakes on daily invoices.
The online store warehouse
If you have the online store enabled, you will find a warehouse named Online Store Warehouse with the code ONLINE. Pashkateb creates it for you when the store is provisioned.
Two things matter about it:
- The storefront reads its balance from that warehouse only. Anything not in it is treated as out of stock online.
- It is not your default. Your ordinary invoices will not sell from it unless you select it yourself.
To sell online, you have to move stock into it — with a warehouse transfer, a stock adjustment, or a purchase invoice.
When to create more than one
- You have more than one branch or storeroom.
- You want to separate online stock from shop-floor stock.
- You hold consignment stock or goods under inspection that you want kept apart.
More is not automatically better. Every extra warehouse means one more thing to get right on every invoice, and stock that can end up scattered. Start with one or two and add more when you need them.

Disable rather than delete
When a warehouse falls out of use, disable it rather than deleting it. It then disappears from the pickers while its movement history stays in the stock ledger and your reports.
Before disabling it, move any remaining balance elsewhere.

Does the code have to be unique?
Yes. A warehouse code must be unique within your company. The system rejects a duplicate.
