Stock by Warehouse report
Shows each item's balance in each warehouse. The first report to open when your store says out of stock.
What is the Stock by Warehouse report?
It shows each item's balance in each warehouse — how your goods are distributed.
Where to find it
Reports → Inventory Reports → Stock by Warehouse, or /dashboard/reports/stock-by-warehouse.
Permission: reports:stock_by_warehouse.
Why this differs from current stock
The Items screen shows an item's total stock — the sum across every warehouse.
This report shows the breakdown: each warehouse's share.
That difference is behind the most common online store problem.
The most useful case: store stock
If your products show out of stock on the store while you have goods:
- Open this report.
- Filter on the Online Store Warehouse.
- Click Apply Filters.
- Look at the real balance there.
The storefront reads from that warehouse only. If its balance is zero, the store has nothing to sell whatever your total stock is.
The fix: a warehouse transfer or a stock adjustment into that warehouse.
Other uses

Tip
Export it before a stocktake. Hand it to your storekeeper as they count, and any difference becomes a stock adjustment straight away.

When should I use it?
Whenever you want to know how stock is distributed. The most useful practical case: when your online store says out of stock — filter on Online Store Warehouse and see its real balance.
How does it differ from Stock Evaluation?
Stock Evaluation shows total value at cost. This shows distribution — how many units are where. The first is financial, the second operational.
An item shows zero in a warehouse and does not appear
The report lists items that have a balance record in that warehouse. An item that has never entered it may not appear — use a warehouse transfer or an adjustment to bring it in.
