Getting your store found in search engines

The SEO fields are on every screen. The difference between a store that gets found and one that does not is filling them in.

How do I get my store found in Google?

Pashkateb gives you SEO fields on every screen — product, category, page, and the store itself. Your job is to fill them in, Arabic before English.

First priority: Arabic content

This is the biggest difference for the least effort.

Most people searching for your goods in Egypt type in Arabic. A product with no Arabic name and no Arabic description effectively does not exist for them.

In the product editor, the Arabic localisation step has:

  • Arabic product name
  • Arabic short description
  • Arabic full description

Fill all three in for every published product. If you only do one thing from this page, do this.

How to write an SEO title

The SEO title is not the product name. The name is for display on your store; the title is for Google results.

Instead ofWrite
DressBlack long evening dress, plus sizes
BagGenuine leather handbag with long strap
CreamMoisturising cream for dry skin 200ml

Think about what a shopper types into search, not what you call the product internally.

For the description: two clear sentences saying what the product is and why someone would buy it. That is what appears under the title in Google and decides whether they click.

Slugs

Every product, category and page has a slug — the URL segment.

Set it before publishing. If you change it later:

  • The old URL stops working.
  • Anyone who shared the link hits a missing page.
  • Any Google indexing is lost.

The editor warns you when you override a slug by hand — take the warning seriously.

Keep slugs short and descriptive.

Domain and SSL

A custom domain matters for two reasons:

  1. Trust — shoppers trust an address carrying your brand.
  2. Identity — it is easy to put in an ad or say over the phone.

And SSL is not optional. A browser security warning loses the visitor before they see a single product. Do not publish a domain before its SSL status reads Ready.

Pages help too

About, returns policy and FAQ pages do not only build trust — they are real written content on your site. A store that is nothing but product photos with no prose is weak in search.

A quick checklist

  • Every published product has an Arabic name and description
  • Every product has an SEO title and description in both languages
  • Slugs are set before publishing
  • Published categories actually contain products
  • About, returns and FAQ pages exist
  • The browser tab title carries your store's name
  • The domain is connected and SSL is Ready
  • Contact details in the footer are correct

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the single most important thing for SEO?

Fill in the Arabic content. Most people searching for your products in Egypt type in Arabic, and a product with no Arabic name or description will not surface for them at all. It is the biggest difference for the least effort.

What if I change a product slug after publishing?

The old URL stops working, and anyone who shared that link and any Google indexing is lost. Set slugs before publishing where you can, and if you must change one, change it early.

Is the SEO title different from the product name?

Yes. The product name shows on your store; the SEO title shows in Google results. Make the SEO title more explicit and include the words people actually search for — 'black long evening dress plus size' rather than just 'dress'.

Does a custom domain help visibility?

Yes, and it helps trust too. Shoppers trust an address carrying your brand name. SSL is essential — a browser security warning loses you visitors before they see anything.
