Store pages: About, returns policy and the rest
These pages are what build a shopper's trust before they pay. Write them properly.
What are store pages?
Content pages you write yourself that appear on your storefront: About, Contact, FAQ, returns policy, privacy, and anything else.
Where to find it
Commerce → Custom Pages, or /dashboard/commerce/pages.
Permission: shop_theme:manage.
Why these matter
In the Egyptian market, a shopper buying from a store for the first time looks for trust signals before paying:
- Who is behind this store? → the About page
- What if the size is wrong? → the returns policy
- How do I reach them? → the Contact page
A store without these loses orders from hesitant shoppers.

Navigation placement
| Choice | Where the page appears |
|---|---|
| Main | The top menu — for important pages |
| Footer | The bottom of the page — for policies |
| None | Reachable at its URL but not listed anywhere |
Do not crowd the main menu. Keep About and Contact there and leave the policies to the footer.
The pages to start with
| Page | What to write |
|---|---|
| About | Who you are, what you sell, how long you have been doing it |
| Contact | Phone, WhatsApp, email, and when you reply |
| Returns policy | The window, the conditions, and who pays for return shipping |
| FAQ | Delivery, sizing, payment, warranty |
The shipping policy lives elsewhere
The shipping policy has its own panel in store settings and is linked into the footer's policy links automatically. You do not need to create it here.
Tip
Write these pages in your natural voice, the way you would talk to a customer in the shop. Copied boilerplate reads as inauthentic and reduces trust rather than building it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the custom and policy page types?
The type describes what the page is. Policy pages such as returns and privacy usually sit in the footer, while custom pages such as About can go in the main menu. The type helps the storefront present the page in the right context.
What does navigation group mean?
Where the page appears in storefront navigation: the main menu, the footer, or none — meaning the page exists at its URL but is not listed in any menu.
Do I have to write the content in both languages?
Not technically, but a page with no Arabic version looks unfinished to most of your shoppers. Write the Arabic at minimum.
Is the shipping policy somewhere else?
Yes. The shipping policy has its own dedicated panel in store settings and is linked into the footer's policy links automatically. This screen is for everything else.
