Store branding and footer: logo, colours and footer links

Your logo, colours and footer are the first and last things a shopper sees. Set them once properly.

How do I set up my store's branding?

Three steps of the store setup wizard: Storefront branding for the logo and favicon, Commerce site colours, and Footer for everything at the bottom of the page.

Permission: shop:manage.

The colours step

Three colours:

ColourControls
PrimaryThe "Add to cart" and "Buy now" buttons
AccentBadges, offers and secondary elements
SurfacePage backgrounds and cards

One rule matters most: there has to be strong contrast between primary and surface. If the two are close together, your buy buttons disappear and shoppers cannot find where to click.

The branding step

FieldDetails
Browser tab titleArabic and English — appears in the browser tab and in search results
Store logoShown at the top of your store
Browser faviconThe small image in the tab and in bookmarks

Each image has a clear button if you want to remove it.

Image tips

  • Logo — ideally with a transparent background so it sits well on any colour.
  • Favicon — square and simple. A full logo goes muddy at that size; use the first letter or the symbol alone.
  • Tab title — use your store's name, not "Home". This is what shows in Google.

The footer step

The largest step in the wizard, and every field is bilingual.

GroupFields
DisplayShow/hide footer switch
NoteA short line at the bottom
AboutTitle and body
LinksThe links section heading
ContactSection heading + email + phone + address
Policy linksAn add/remove list — each with a label and a URL
Social linksThe same — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok

The footer matters more than you think

A shopper buying from a store for the first time scrolls to the bottom looking for trust signals:

  • Is there a real phone number? Immediate reassurance.
  • Is there a returns policy? Reduces hesitation.
  • Are the social links active? Proves real people are behind the store.

Fill in the contact details properly. A working phone number in the footer moves your conversion rate more than most design changes will.

Save each step as you go

Save and continue saves the step you are on and moves to the next. Each step also keeps its own save button, so you can save without moving. Save one, open your storefront to see the result, then move on.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the logo and the favicon?

The logo appears at the top of your store for shoppers. The favicon is the small image in the browser tab and in bookmarks. They are separate and have their own fields.

Where do the footer policy links come from?

From the policy links list on the Footer step — you add and remove entries, each with a label in Arabic and English and a URL. The shipping policy page is linked automatically.

Can I hide the footer completely?

Yes, there is a show/hide footer switch. It is not recommended though — the footer carries the contact details and policies that build a shopper's trust.

Do I have to fill in every field in both languages?

Ideally yes. A field with no Arabic version shows in English to an Arabic shopper, which looks wrong. If you only do one, do the Arabic.
