Store design: templates, the design library and the studio
Pick a template, make your own copy of it, edit it in the studio — and the live design is what shoppers see.
How do I set up my store's look?
From Commerce → Store Design. Choose a ready-made template, make your own copy of it, edit it in the studio, and publish.
Permission: shop_theme:manage.

System templates
A library of ready-made templates, filtered by business type:
General retail · Women accessories · Men accessories · Menswear · Shoes · Watches · Glasses · Beauty & lifestyle
The templates available include Commerce V2 Default, Classic General, Women Fashion Showcase, Industrial Gear Showcase, Women Accessories Editorial, Men Accessories Utility, Menswear Lookbook, KINETIC Sneaker Drops, Celestial Horology, Eyewear Clean and Beauty Lifestyle.
Filter by your business type first. Templates are not just colours — each presents stock differently. A watch template foregrounds one large image; a general retail template shows a denser product grid.

Your company design library
The designs you have made. Each can be opened in the builder or set live.
The creation form asks for: the base template, and a design name in English and Arabic.
The live design card
Shows the design currently running, with buttons for Open active builder, Open local storefront and Re-apply live design.
The studio
A visual editor that opens full-screen without the dashboard chrome. You edit the sections of each page in it.
Available sections include: the announcement bar, hero slider, featured categories, featured products, promo grid, story block, trust strip, catalog toolbar and results, product gallery, summary and details, suggested products, cart lines and summary, and the checkout stages.

Always check mobile. Most of your shoppers in Egypt will arrive on a phone.
Edits stay as a draft
What you do in the studio does not reach shoppers immediately. You have to publish the design for it to go live.
Which means you can experiment freely while your store keeps running.
Reverting to an older design
Old designs stay in your library. Open it, pick the one you want, and set it live.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a system template and a company design?
A system template is ready-made, shared across all merchants, and not edited directly. A company design is your own copy — created from a template or from scratch — which you can change freely without affecting anyone else.
What does live design mean?
The design your shoppers are seeing right now. You can hold many designs in your library, but only one is live at a time. Edits in the studio stay as a draft until you publish them.
How do I pick a template?
Filter by your business type — general retail, women's or men's accessories, menswear, shoes, watches, glasses, or beauty and lifestyle. Each type has templates designed for how that kind of stock is best presented.
Can I go back to a previous design?
Yes. Old designs stay in your company library. Open the library, pick the one you want, and set it live again.
