Item Sales During Period report
Best Selling Items scoped to a period — for comparing seasons and campaigns.
What is this report?
It shows each item's sales within a date range you choose.
Where to find it
Reports → Sales Reports → Item Sales During Period, or /dashboard/reports/item-sales-period.
Permission: reports:item_sales_period.
The difference from Best Selling Items
Both show the same kind of data, but:
| Best Selling Items | Item Sales During Period | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | Overall ranking | A specific period |
| Used for | What is moving | Comparing two periods |
The most useful case: comparison
A figure on its own says nothing. A comparison does.
Before and after a campaign
- Run the report on the two weeks before the campaign and export it.
- Run it on the two weeks after and export that.
- Compare in Excel.
That tells you exactly which products the campaign moved — not merely that "sales went up".
Season comparison
Compare Ramadan against last year, or summer against winter. It helps you buy better.
Before a buying decision
Before ordering a large quantity of something, run the report over the last three months and see what rate it genuinely moves at.
Click Apply Filters
Changed the dates and nothing happened? You did not click Apply Filters. Report screens do not refresh on their own the way list screens do.
It counts submitted invoices only
Draft invoices appear in no period.

How do I compare two periods?
Run the report on the first period and export it, then change the filters to the second period, export that, and compare the two files in Excel.
Why did nothing change when I changed the dates?
You did not click Apply Filters. Report screens do not refresh on their own.
