Exporting data from Pashkateb to Excel, CSV and PDF

An export takes what is in front of you — your filters, your columns, your rows per page. Set those first.

How do I export data from Pashkateb?

There is an export button above every table. Click it and choose CSV, Excel or PDF. The file downloads straight from the browser.

The main rule: you export what you can see

This is the most important thing on this page. An export does not pull everything from the server — it takes what is displayed in front of you right now, which means three things control the file:

ThingEffect on the file
FiltersOnly rows that satisfy them are exported
Column customisationHidden columns do not appear in the file
Rows per pageDecides how many rows land in the file

So if rows per page is left at 10 and you have 400 customers, the file will contain 10 customers.

The right order to do it in

  1. Apply the filters that define the data you want.
  2. From Columns, show what you need and hide the rest.
  3. Change Rows per page to 100 or 500 so every result is included.
  4. Only then click export.

The three formats

CSV

A plain comma-separated text file. The lightest format and the easiest to import into another system. No formatting, no colours.

Use it when: moving data into another program, or working with it in a script.

Excel

A full spreadsheet, with formatted columns and numbers stored as numbers rather than text.

Use it when: reviewing figures, building formulas on them, or sending them to your accountant.

PDF

A document ready to print or send. It looks the same on every device.

Use it when: sending something final to someone — a customer, a supplier, a bank — that is not meant to be edited.

Exporting reports

Report screens work the same way with one important difference: you have to click Apply Filters first for the results to refresh, then export.

If you export without applying, you export the previous result rather than the one you filtered for.

Printing invoices

Invoices have their own Print button, separate from export. It produces the formatted invoice — your company details, the customer's details, the line items and the totals — ready to print or save as PDF from the browser.

Use Print when you are handing an invoice to a customer, and export when you are analysing a set of invoices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my exported file only contain 10 rows?

Because the export takes the rows visible on the current page. Change Rows per page below the table to something larger — 100 or 500 — before exporting.

Do hidden columns get exported?

No. The export follows your column customisation exactly. A hidden column will not appear in the file. If you need it, bring it back with the Columns button first.

Which format should I pick?

Use Excel when you are going to work with the numbers or hand them to someone, CSV when you are importing into another system, and PDF when you are sending a finished document to be printed or reviewed.

Does the export respect my filters?

Yes. What lands in the file is what is in the table — same filters, same order. That is deliberate, so you can export a specific set instead of the whole table.
