Tables and columns: sorting, visibility, and saved preferences

Customise a table once and it stays that way on your account every time you open the screen.

How do I control Pashkateb tables?

Above any table there is a Columns button. Use it to show, hide and reorder columns by dragging. Below the table you can change Rows per page. All of it is saved to your account, so you never have to set it up twice.

The same table everywhere

Like filters, Pashkateb uses one table component across every list screen. What you learn here works on Items, Customers, Invoices, Warehouse Transfers and every other screen.

Sorting

Sortable columns show a small indicator next to the column name. Click the header to sort ascending, click again to reverse it.

This is most useful with numbers: sort by Total Amount to find your largest invoice, or by Current Balance on the Customers screen to see who owes you the most.

Customising columns

Click Columns above the table. The Customize columns panel opens with every column on the screen:

ControlWhat it does
The checkbox next to each columnShows or hides that column
The grip handleReorders columns by drag and drop
The reset buttonReturns the columns to their original layout

At least one column must stay visible. If you try to hide the last one, the system tells you to keep at least one visible column.

Preferences are saved to your account

Every column change is saved to your profile immediately, per screen. That means:

  • The screen opens the same way next time, even on a different device.
  • Your layout has nothing to do with anyone else's — every user has their own.
  • If you see Failed to save table preferences, it is usually a connection problem. The layout still works for the rest of the session.

Columns on mobile

Some columns are set to hide automatically on small screens so the table stays readable. That is independent of your own customisation and reverses on a wider screen.

Rows per page and paging

Below the table:

  • Rows per page — 10 · 20 · 50 · 100 · 500
  • Showing … to … of … results — where you are in the full result set
  • Previous and Next — step through pages
  • Jump to page — type a page number and click Go

If you enter a page that does not exist you will be asked to enter a valid page number.

Tip: before exporting data, raise the rows per page. The export takes what is in front of you, so leaving it at 10 exports 10 rows.

Row actions

At the end of each row there are action buttons appropriate to the screen: View, Edit, Delete, and sometimes screen-specific ones like Print or Submit on invoices.

Those buttons are filtered by your permissions. If you cannot see the edit button, your role most likely does not have edit permission on that screen — it is not a fault.

Delete always asks you to Confirm Delete first.

When the table is empty

There are two different messages and they do not mean the same thing:

  • No records found matching your criteria — there is data, but nothing satisfies your filters. Clear the filters.
  • No data available — the screen itself is empty. Start by adding your first record.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are column settings saved, or do I redo them each time?

They are saved to your own account automatically. Any screen you set up will open the same way next time, even from a different device. The customisation is personal — it does not affect anyone else in your company.

Can I hide every column?

No. The system stops you hiding the last visible column and tells you to keep at least one visible column. At least one has to remain for the table to mean anything.

Why do some columns disappear on mobile?

Some columns are configured to hide on small screens so the table stays readable. That is automatic and separate from your own customisation — they come back on a wider screen.

How many rows can I show per page?

The options are 10, 20, 50, 100 or 500 rows. The larger numbers are useful before exporting, but they make the page slower to load when there is a lot of data.
