Lead Conversion report
The report that answers: where should I spend my marketing money?
What is this report?
It tells you how many invoices and how much revenue each lead source produced. In other words, which channel actually brings in money.
Where to find it
Reports → Sales Reports → Lead Conversion, or /dashboard/reports/lead-conversion.
Permission: reports:lead_conversion.
Your most important marketing report
Most merchants spend on advertising without knowing what comes back from where. This report answers that with real figures from your own invoices.
Its one requirement: fill in the source field
The report depends entirely on the Lead Source field on your sales invoices.
An invoice with no source does not enter it. So if the report is empty, that is not a fault — it is that the field is not being filled in.
Make it a habit: on every sales invoice, pick the source.
How to read it
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| A source with many invoices and large amounts | Your best channel — invest more |
| Many invoices, small amounts | Many low-value customers — judge whether that is useful |
| Few invoices, large amounts | High-quality customers — worth special attention |
| Weak on both | Stop spending on it |
Compare it against your costs
The report shows revenue, not profit.
To know the real return, record your advertising costs on the Outcomes screen with a clear category per channel, and compare:
channel return = revenue from this report − advertising spend on it
A channel bringing in 50,000 that costs you 40,000 is worse than one bringing in 20,000 that costs 5,000.
A routine
Open it at the start of each month before setting the new month's advertising budget. A decision built on this report beats one built on instinct.
Frequently Asked Questions
My report is empty
Because you are not filling in the Lead Source field on your sales invoices. The source is recorded on the invoice, so an invoice without one does not enter this report.
Does the report include advertising cost?
No. It shows the revenue each source produced. You record advertising cost on the Outcomes screen, and make the comparison yourself.
A source produced many invoices with small amounts
That source brings many low-value customers. It may be useful if it builds a customer base, or a waste of time — compare it against a source producing fewer, larger invoices.
